Microtex
Microtex is the product range of metallic filaments from Fibretech, which are produced using the pioneering Melt Overflow process.
The novel Melt Overflow process increased the quenching rate to >1,000,000⁰c per second, providing unique material properties and exceptional performance advantages over alternative product offerings.
Microtex is a stainless-steel filament that has exceptional temperature resistance, high strength-to-weight ratios, and resistance to back pressure due to the fine crystalline structures, which are inherently unique to the material.
Currently, Microtex is widely used in automotive, aerospace, filtration and ballistic applications.
The uniqueness of the materials properties provides significant opportunities for use of Microtex materials in green energy generation and storage.
